Game of Thrones leaks continue during the final season, with the HBO hit series having season 8, episode 4 leaking online hours before it was scheduled to air. The good news, however, is that the full episode did not surface. Instead, it was simply a 30-second clip, according to Deadline.com.
Following the initial 30-second leak, a one-minute clip surfaced that shows a very pivotal moment in the series as the battle for the Iron Throne continues following the Battle of Winterfell.
Last month, the first and second episodes of the final season of the series were released four hours early on DirecTV Now. Episode 3 also dropped early, and now the leaks continue as the most anticipated ending to a series looms.
Of course, you can not always count on internet leaks to tell the full and true story.
“[D]on’t believe everything you read. Internet reports are notoriously unreliable,” the author of A Song of Ice and Fire, which inspired Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin wrote. “We have had five different GAME OF THRONES successor shows in development (I mislike the term ‘spinoffs’) at HBO, and three of them are still moving forward nicely.”
There are just three episodes remaining in the final season and the stakes are higher than ever. Episode 4 will run 1 hour and 18 minutes, while episodes 5 and 6 on Sunday, May 12 and May 19, respectively, will each run for 1 hour and 20 minutes of epic television.
Episode 4 of Game of Thrones season 8 will air on HBO at 9:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 5. You can watch every episode live on HBO and HBO Now or on demand with HBO Go.
The eighth and final season of HBO’s Emmy Award-winning fantasy drama ‘Game of Thrones’ began on Sunday, April 14, and will conclude on Sunday, May 19.
