Sol Pais Ethnicity: What Is Her Nationality & Background?

Sol Pais, 18-years-old, has been identified as the South Florida woman who is currently on the run from authorities after her “credible threat” caused 21 schools in the state of Colorado to be placed on lockdown.

While it is unclear at this time exactly where Pais is from or what her ethnicity is, in an interview with CBS 4 Miami at his South Florida home, you can clearly hear that Pais’ father some sort of Latin accent.

Additionally,  Pais’ father — who described the situation as “a bad dream” — said his daughter may have a “mental problem.”

Police say that Pais, just 18, flew to Colorado from Florida with the specific intention of carrying out a public act of violence, as she is “infatuated” with the Columbine High School shooting that took place in 1999.

While the exact nature of her threats is unclear, police did say that Pais purchased a shotgun after landing in Colorado and that her threats were credible enough to prompt the lockdown of over 20 Jefferson County-area schools.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Denver Division of the FBI have argued civilians not to approach Pais if they see her as she should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

Pais’ threats against Columbine High School and other Jefferson County, Colorado schools came the same week as the 20th anniversary of the mass shooting that left 12 students and 1 teacher dead following an attack from Columbine High School seniors Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold.

Following her threats, Pais has been on the run from authorities since Tuesday, April 16, and remains at large at the time of this writing.

Authorities have asked anyone who comes across Pais not to approach her as she needs to be considered extremely armed and dangerous.

Additionally, police have also asked anyone who sees Pais or knows where she is hiding to immediately call the FBI tip line at 303-630-6227.
