Archer season ten is right around the corner and FXX just treated us with the first official trailer for it!
At the end of the show’s seventh season, Sterling Archer was shot several times and left for dead in a swimming pool. Season eight revealed that he survived, but has been in a coma. Since then, the show has entirely taken place in his mind with each season featuring a different theme. Season eight was the noir-themed Archer Dreamland, while nine took on an adventure feel with Archer Danger Island.

It looks like season ten ups the ante and moves the show into a full-on space opera, titled Archer 1999.

The trailer gives us a look at the sci-fi vibe that the show will have this season. The opening line parodies a famous one from the Alien franchise. Most of the characters are similar to what we’ve seen in the past for them, but there are some exciting changes.
Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) is the hard-drinking captain, Lana Kane (Aisha Tyler) is his co-captain and ex-wife, Malory Archer (Jessica Walters) is his pesky mother, and Cyril Figgis (Chris Parnell) is the first mate who seems to have his usual personality. The changes come from the rest of the gang. Cheryl/Carol Tunt (Judy Greer) is now a fighter pilot, Krieger (Lucky Yates) is now a synthetic human, and Pam Poovey (Amber Nash) is a giant rock monster.
