The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to the city of brotherly love on Saturday, March 30 for UFC on ESPN 2 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In the main event of the night, top lightweight contenders Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje in a scrap that was sure to provide fireworks. And it delivered.
Less than one minute into the fight, Barboza and Gaethje both landed their own heavy shots as the main event turned into a brawl. Both men were comfortable standing in the pocket as they swung for the fences and the Philly crowd came to its feet. With the high pace, someone was sure to get knocked out.
And it was Gaethje who delivered.
Gaethje hit Barboza with a heavy shot that immediately stiffened him as he crashed to the mat and Gaethje celebrated his stunning victory.
