UFC 235 Medical Suspensions: Mickey Gall Needs Cleared To Train Again

UFC 235 is in the books and now the Nevada State Athletic Commission is handing down its medical suspensions from the pay-per-view event on Saturday, March 2. The four headlining fighters — light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, Anthony Smith, welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, and Tyron Woodley — escaped serious injury.
The same cannot be said, however, for preliminary fighter Mickey Gall.
Gall was steamrolled by veteran Diego Sanchez and received the lengthiest suspension on the card. Not only has Gall been suspended a minimum of 45 days with no contact for 30, but he also has to receive doctor’s clearance before he is ever able to train again due to an issue with his kidney.
A total of 10 fighters face up to six months on the sideline.
