Spain Park & Hoover High School Racist Videos: Students Mock Concentration Camps, Minorities

Students from Spain Park and Hoover High Schools in Alabama have sparked outrage on social media after video surfaced online that showed the students engaging in racist and insensitive rants where they mocked African Americans, Jews, and the Holocaust, according to the Daily Mail.

The video initially was recorded and posted on Snapchat before eventually making its way to Facebook where it went viral.

One student can be heard saying, “F*** n*****s, f*** Jews.” A female student responded by saying, “Jews are fine because they’re white. We just need the n*****s gone.”

It gets even worse from there, with another student adding suggesting “stick[ing] [blacks] in concentration camps and just bomb them.”

WARNING: The video includes some disturbing language.

The school has yet to determine whether any punishment will be taken against the students who are seen in the video.

“We are exceptionally sad and disappointed that this would either be the attitude of some of our young people or whatever would prompt them to have such conversations,” school district superintendent Kathy Murphy said in a statement.

Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato added: “The City of Hoover condemns racism and hatred in every form and at any place or time. We are deeply disturbed by a video that is currently circulating on social media. Our city is a place for all people to live, work and play in a safe environment.”

The school district including Spain Park and Hoover High Schools is 55 percent white, 25 percent black, 8 percent Hispanic, 7 percent Asian, and 5 percent mixed race, according to the available statistics.

This story comes one day after students from Newport Harbor High School in California were captured on video doing a Nazi salute and arranging their beer cups in the shape of a swastika.
