Newport Harbor High School Students Under Fire After Photos Of Nazi Party Surface

Students from Newport Harbor High School in California are under fire after photos surfaced online that show an alcohol-fueled party which featured Nazi symbolism and the Heil Hitler salute. The photos were originally posted on Snapchat before circulating online.
The arty reportedly took place over the weekend and school administrators said they have launched an investigation.
“We were made aware of social media postings involving some students who created inappropriate anti-Semitic symbols, and possible underage drinking,” Newport-Mesa Unified School District officials said in a letter to parents, according to the Daily Mail. “While these actions did not occur on any school campus or school function, we condemn all acts of anti-Semitism and hate in all their forms.”
In the photos, you see students playing “rage cage” — a game where you typically form a circle with cups in the middle of a table while throwing ping pong tables — but instead of a circle, the cups formed a swastika.
To make matters worse, another photo showed students giving the Nazi salute.

While investigating the situation, the school is also consulting with law enforcement officials to determine an appropriate punishment for the students who are identified in the photos online. As you would expect, many on social media are calling for the school district to suspend the individuals.
