Timothy Dean has been identified as the man found dead inside of the apartment of Democratic donor Ed Buck on Monday, January 7. The 55-year-old West Hollywood resident was the second black man to be found dead inside of Buck’s apartment within the last 18 months.
Back in July 2017, 26-year-old Gemmel Moore was found dead of an apparent overdose and the investigation has since been reopened after initially being closed due to lack of evidence, according to the Daily Mail.
The death of Dean comes after 28-year-old Jermaine Gagnon detailed a terrifying encounter that he alleges took place inside of the home of Buck which included being drugged in a sex toy-filled apartment owned by the prominent donor.
This comes as another man told DailyMail TV how Buck paid to fly him from Minnesota to Los Angeles, drugged him with a substance dissolved in Gatorade then injected him with crystal meth at his West Hollywood apartment.
Jermaine Gagnon, 28, shared pictures which show Buck, wearing white long johns, crouched over him on the mattress of a pullout bed during one of their nights together, as well as the ‘toolbox’ of sex toys he produced during their encounter.
Dean was found dead in Buck’s apartment at approximately 1:05 a.m. The death is being investigated by the Homicide Bureau but there is no current cause of death.
Since the reports surfaced of a second black man dying in Buck’s home, a Black Lives Matter protest was held outside of the District Attorney’s office claiming that Buck preys on vulnerable black men and that he should be arrested.
“Ed Buck is a danger to society, not just because of what he’s doing to black men, but what he’s exposing our community to in general. He’s exposing our community to being hooked on crystal meth and other drugs,” Jerome Kitchen said, via ABC 7.
Buck’s attorney, Seymour Amster, meanwhile says that Dean had a “history of substance abuse” and that he “began exhibiting bizarre behavior” after being “insistent” that Buck allowed him to come over.
