Patrick Frazee, 32, has been arrested in connection to the disappearance of Kelsey Berreth, who investigators say they now believe is dead. Frazee has reportedly been charged with first-degree murder.
What Happened?
Frazee was arrested on a warrant on the morning of Friday, December 21. Following his arrest, he was booked into the Teller County Jail and charged with first-degree murder as the FBI searched his property.
According to reports from authorities, the 29-year-old Berreth — who was a mother-of-one — was last seen at a Safeway supermarket near Woodland Park, Colorado, on Thursday, November 22 — Thanksgiving Day.
At the time of her disappearance, Berreth was described as being as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds, and was wearing a white shirt, gray sweatshirt, and blue pants.
Frazee is the father of Berreth’s 1-year-old daughter, Kaylee. At this time, it is not clear whose custody she is in.

The news [of Frazee’s arrest] follows recent searches of Berreth’s home where investigators were seen taking several loads of evidence.
Investigators then zeroed in on searching Berreth’s home days after News 5 also talked with one of Berreth’s neighbors on Monday. That neighbor said she had previously seen two red pickup trucks at Berreth’s home on Thanksgiving Day, when Frazee said he picked up the couple’s daughter.
Berreth’s uncle, Ed Stanfill, said Berreth owns a red truck. Frazee’s truck, which was seized in the search over the weekend, was also red. The neighbor’s account of the events also fits Frazee’s timeline about when he last saw his fiancé.
Frazee’s arrest comes a week after multiple agencies also searched Frazee’s property in Florissant. In the early stages of that search, Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said he considered Berreth’s disappearance suspicious at a news conference in Florissant. At that news conference, he stopped short of naming Frazee as a suspect or a person of interest. The search of Frazee’s 35-acre property wrapped up last Sunday, and Berreth was not found.
Frazee’s attorney Jeremy Loew said that his client will “continue to cooperate with law enforcement in the missing person investigation.”
