Fortnite rumors are beginning to make the rounds again, with some believing that the game could be shutting down for good and ending on September 26. It isn’t the first time that the rumors have begun to swirl, but they’re in full swing once again.
The rumor all began earlier this year with a tweet which claimed copyright infringement has led to the game’s demise.
“Due to the lawsuit against PubG on copyright infringement. We are sorry to inform you that Fortnite Battle Royale Will be coming to an end May 24, 2018,” the message at the time read. “Save the world will still be in development and we will roll out ASAP. Thank you all for the support.”
The new rumors were again started thanks to a fake tweet, this time claiming too high of a demand.
“Fortnite will be shutting down on September 26th 2018,” it read. “We just simply can’t keep up with the big demand. It was fun whilst it lasted! A big thank you from everyone at Epic Games!”
So, what is going on?

Season 6 is expected to bring new maps and items, and also a brand new Battle Pass and unlockables. So get in those season 5, week 10 challenges so you can make sure you maximize your loot and level up before the new season begins. Time is running out.
