South Carolina State Shooting: Full Story Of Shelter In Place

Students at South Carolina State University were reportedly sent a message alerting them about a shooting on campus earlier this morning. The message, which was sent around 2 a.m. local time, told all students to shelter in place.
At this time, there is no active shooting scene.
According to the university’s website, University Village — where the alert said the shooting took place — is an apartment-style housing facility for upperclassmen students. They are fully furnished with a living room, kitchen and laundry room.
At full capacity, it accommodates 438 students in three bedrooms and one bedroom apartments
At this time, it is unclear if there were any arrests or suspects.

Police are asking anyone with information is asked to call the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Department or SC State Campus Public Safety at 803-536-7188.
