Who is ready for some championship mixed martial arts? UFC 227 is finally here, with two title fights headlining the pay-per-view card on Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. The main event features a bantamweight title fight between current champion TJ Dillashaw and his arch-rival Cody Garbrandt, the former 135-pound title holder.
The two previously faced off at UFC 217 in New York City in November 2017 when Dillashaw scored an impressive knockout victory midway through the second round at Madison Square Garden. This time around, the former Team Alpha Male teammates will do battle closer to Garbrandt’s home.
The co-main event features flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who is defending his title against Olympic medalist Henry Cejudo for the second time inside of the Octagon.
