Matt Serra is in Las Vegas this week for the Ultimate Fighting Championship‘s International Fight Week. Serra is one of the members of the 2018 UFC Hall of Fame class which also includes Ronda Rousey, Art Davie, Bruce Connal, Shogun Rua, and Dan Henderson. But before his induction ceremony, Serra had a little run-in with a drunken man.
Serra was in a restaurant when a man was allegedly harassing other customers.
The former UFC champ says the man was threatening waitresses and then eventually had the guts to take a swing at him. As you might expect, Serra made quick work of the drunken man and took him to the floor while assistance was on the way. While Serra was holding the man down, the drunken patron showed just how much liquid courage he had as he screamed “I’m going to f*** you up!” as Serra laughed on.
Serra uploaded video of the incident to his Instagram account.
Serra also posted an earlier video of the man, who was unsuccessfully attempting to wake up a passed out woman. It’s safe to say they were living it in Vegas.
International Fight Week will be capped off with The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale on Friday and UFC 226 on Saturday. The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale is headlined by a middleweight bout between TUF alum Brad Tavares and promising prospect Israel Adensaya.
On Saturday, the fight all mixed martial arts fans have been waiting for finally takes place when heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic returns to the Octagon to put his title on the line against light heavyweight title holder Daniel Cormier in an epic superfight. Max Holloway was initially set to defend his featherweight title in the co-main event, but he was forced to withdrawal from his bout with Brian Ortega due to concussion-like symptoms. The UFC is currently trying to reschedule Holloway vs. Ortega at a later date.
