Cleopatra Bernard, the mother of late rap star XXXtentacion, learned of the arrest of Dedrick Williams on Wednesday night during a vigil. William was arrested and is facing a first-degree murder charge for his involvement in the murder of XXXtentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, on Monday afternoon.
Williams’ full list of charges include murder without premeditation, violation of probation and driving without a valid license.
Video of Cleopatra’s reaction to the arrest surfaced on social media early Thursday morning.

Dedrick D. Williams has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of rapper XXXtentacion, whose name is Jahseh Onfroy. XXXtentacion was just 20 years old at the time of his murder. The 22-year-old Williams was taken into custody and booked for first-degree murder. Williams had previous arrests for grand theft auto, cocaine possession, weapons possession, domestic violence and aggravated assault with a firearm, according to TMZ.
Rapper XXXtentacion was shot and killed in Miami, Florida on Monday, June 18. The controversial rapper had a long list of disturbing domestic violence incidents and legal issues. XXXtentacion was leaving a motorsports shop at the time he was shot and killed in what is being described as a robbery.
XXXtentacion released his debut album, 17, on August 25, 2017, and his second album, ?, was released on March 16, 2018. The second album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with multiple singles entering the top 30.
XXXtentacion was just 20 years old at the time of his death.
