WWE Survivor Series 2017: Matches, Predictions & Full Preview

WWE Survivor Series features a battle for brand supremacy, as Raw and SmackDown go to war. The very best from each brand are going to toe-to-toe, and only the absolute best will make it out with their hands held high. In the main event, WWE Universal Champion “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar will battle WWE Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles in a champion vs. champion dream match for the ages.

Raw General Manager Kurt Angle will lead his brand against Team SmackDown, who are being led by their commissioner Shane McMahon. John Cena and Triple H recently announced their participation in the five-on-five battle for brand supremacy match between Raw and SmackDown. Team Raw is comprised of Kurt Angle (leader), Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, and Triple H (replacing Jason Jordan). Team SmackDown contains Shane McMahon (leader), Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, and John Cena.

Kickoff Show: WWE Cruiserweight Championship match: Enzo Amore (c) vs. Kalisto

WWE.com
Enzo’s reign of destruction is far from finished. Little Enzo has transformed himself into a nearly unstoppable force in the Cruiserweight division, mostly because of his goons protecting his ass around ringside. If it wasn’t for guys like Drew Gulak, Enzo’s title reign would be pushing up daisies.
I see Kalisto beating the hell out of the loudmouth Enzo. But then at the end, his squad helps him pull off the win once again. Kalisto will likely get screwed at Survivor Series. Kapeesh?

Champion vs. Champion match: Raw Tag Team Champions The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champion The Usos

WWE.com
Sheamus and Cesaro are riding high on a wave of momentum after taking out The Shield’s Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the Raw Tag Team Championship last week. But don’t discredit the rise of The Usos either.
Last year’s Raw vs. SmackDown Tag Team battle royal came down to The Usos vs. Sheamus & Cesaro. They fought down to the wire and really raised the bar in the tag team division (no pun intended). Last year’s match went to The Bar, but this Survivor Series will have to go to…

Champion vs. Champion: WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz

WWE.com
WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin has been on the rise on the blue brand. But can he really compare to The Miz who is practically a main-eventer with a mid-card title. The Miz controls his own stable The Miztourage which has an alliance with The Bar and “The Big Red Machine” Kane. Corbin might be able to knock off Sin Cara, but The Miz is a completely different animal than Sin Cara.
However, I do see Corbin coming within inches of winning this match, only for his dreams to be smashed via Skull Crushing Finale. A little extra thanks to The Miztourage for the win.

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair

WWE.com
At Survivor Series, The Goddess battles The Queen. WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will fight a woman she’s never defeated. Charlotte is fresh off her championship win over Natalya.
Charlotte Flair will be only inches away from victory until Natalya runs down to ringside to cost her the match. Natalya is putting her grunge against Flair over her loyalty for the SmackDown brand. All hail the Goddess…

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion AJ Styles

WWE.com
A win for AJ Styles would be a thrilling, shocking moment. But do I see WWE having Lesnar lose two back-to-back Survivor Series? If Styles somehow defeats Brock Lesnar, his stock would rise tremendously. But I really don’t see Styles winning with the former champion Jinder Mahal probably lurking in the shadows. Styles will really bring the fight to Lesnar, but a distraction by Mahal will send Styles crashing via an F-5.

Editor’s Note: Then again, if Styles wins, both his stock and the stock of the WWE Championship would rise tremendously. It’d put Styles on a pedestal with top legends (as if he’s not already at that level right now).

Team Raw (Alicia Fox, Nia Jax, Asuka, Sasha Banks, and Bayley) vs. Team SmackDown (Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, Tamina, and TBA) (with Lana)

WWE.com
The women of Monday Night Raw invaded SmackDown on Tuesday, targeting and laying out everyone in the woman’s locker room. Will the woman Raw continue this momentum into Survivor Series? I don’t think so…
I see the SmackDown ladies receiving a measure of revenge against their red-branded foes. There’s one last spot left for the blue team (SmackDown), and I see Paige making her long-awaited return to kick some booty and win the match for her team.

Team Raw (Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, and Triple H) vs. Team SmackDown (Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, and John Cena)

WWE.com
This match is likely to blow the roof off the joint at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. We have three eras combined into one, going head-to-head in a WWE ring. There’s the Attitude Era legends: Triple H, Shane McMahon, and Kurt Angle. There are legends from the Ruthless Aggression Era: John Cena, Randy Orton, plus Triple H and Kurt Angle (again). But the guys to really shine tonight are the superstars of today’s New Era, such as “The Artist” Shinsuke Nakamura, “The Glorious One” Bobby Roode, “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman, “The Destroyer” Samoa Joe, and “The Demon King” Finn Balor. This Sunday night, prepare for war!
Who will come out on top tonight? If Lesnar wins then SmackDown will need a big victory. This can be their last saving grace to come out of Survivor Series with their heads held high. If Raw loses, I expect Kurt Angle to be fired the very next night. Triple H would then step in as the new General Manager of Monday Night Raw.
Let’s see who will come out on top…
