WWE Survivor Series 2017: Date, Time, Matches, Rumors & Location

WWE Survivor Series will pit Raw and SmackDown against one another for total brand supremacy. Raw GM Kurt Angle has his job on the line, as he leads his boys from the red brand against SmackDown Live‘s very best superstars. Rumors are already swirling, as the internet dirt-sheet (rumor mill) has already predicted which brand will come out on top at Survivor Series.

Another big-time match going into the event involves WWE World Champion AJ Styles battling the WWE Universe Champion Brock Lesnar. Styles knocked off “The Modern Day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, effectively replacing Mahal in the main event match against Lesnar at Survivor Series.
Before I get to dishing out more Survivor Series rumors, look below for full details on the event (including much more juicy rumors)…

WWE Survivor Series Rumors

Vince McMahon reportedly wants Raw to reign supreme over SmackDown at Survivor Series. If this rumor is true, expect Team Raw to go over Team SmackDown in the main event 5-on-5 elimination match for brand supremacy. McMahon reportedly wants his flagship show to go over in Houston. So, expect a 3-2 advantage for the red team.
Although, the teams for the 5-on-5 men’s match at Survivor Series hasn’t been completed yet. The participants for Team Raw are Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Kurt Angle, and either Roman Reigns or Jason Jordan. If Reigns doesn’t return from his viral infection to wrestle at Survivor Series, then expect Jason Jordan to fill up the spot of “The Big Dog.”
If Jason Jordan makes it on Team Raw then expect a “father-son” storyline between Angle and Jordan as they team up for the first time together. Expect a very touching, heartfelt moment if that storyline comes to fruition.
Scratch that rumor! This just in: Jason Jordan has been confirmed for Team Raw at Survivor Series. WWE’s answer to the fans: DEAL WITH IT!!!

I guess Jason Jordan couldn’t make the cut because he was replaced by Triple H moments before Monday Night Raw went off the air last night on their final show before Survivor Series…

Either Rusev or AJ Styles is expected to fill out the remainder of Team SmackDown. If Styles beats Mahal this Tuesday, then either Mahal or Rusev will fill up that final spot for Team SmackDown at Survivor Series. Scratch that rumor! Styles defeated Mahal on SmackDown for the WWE Championship, and now will be facing off against “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.
SmackDown‘s women’s team is expected to go over the red team at Survivor Series.
By the way, John Cena was rumored to be the special guest referee in the match between Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles (formerly Jinder Mahal). Just check out the photo gallery, and you’ll know what I’m talking about. But now, Cena is confirmed for the Raw vs. SmackDown battle royal. Meanwhile, Jinder Mahal has been replaced in the match by the new WWE Champion AJ Styles.
Another big-time rumor for Survivor Series is that The Shield will face off against The New Day in a six-man tag team match. This rumor turned out to be true, as the match was officially booked on the most recent edition of Monday Night Raw.
Former WWE Divas Champion Paige is rumored to make her long-awaited return at Survivor Series. She’s been on hiatus since the summer of 2016, last wrestling on the June 27 edition of Raw.
