Richard Spencer Net Worth 2025: How Much Is The White Nationalist Activist Worth Now?

Richard Spencer, 39, is a highly-controversial, alt-right white nationalist who caused quite a stir from Charlottesville, Virginia, to Gainesville, Florida, and everywhere in between. Spencer denies being a white supremacist, however, he does believe in transforming the United States into a “white ethnostate” and supports “peaceful ethnic cleansing” to supposedly stop the decay of European culture. He claims to be the creator of the term “alt-right” or “alternative right,” which has transformed into a social movement who reject mainstream conservatism and political correctness, typically supporting white nationalist views that trolls and threatens the opposition.
Spencer is also incredibly rich. He is ranked as the top paid activist of 2017.

Richard Spencer Net Worth as of 2019: $185 Million

I sh*t you not. Spencer has raked in the big bucks while being an alt-right figurehead. Between September 2016 and September 2017, he was able to bring in an incredible $58 million. Spencer has lucrative deals, as well as various endorsements, stock investments, and substantial property holdings. His family owns a 5,200-acre cotton and corn farm in a rural area of Louisiana, and Spencer has been listed as an absentee landlord of this farm, likely worth millions. Between the years 2008 and 2015, the business received $2 million in federal farm subsidies.
Let’s see Spencer’s rise…

2007 – 2017

Spencer originally started off his career as a journalist for The American Conservative magazine, from March to December 2007. He was eventually fired from his job as a result of being “too extreme.” He then served as executive editor of Taki’s Magazine from January 2008 to December 2009.
In 2010, this white nationalist founded AlternativeRight.com, and he credits himself as being the creator of the term “alt-right.” He edited this web site until 2012.
In 2014, the alt-right leader was deported from Hungary and banned from 26 countries in Europe for three years as a result of the Schengen Agreement. What was Spencer’s offense? Well, he tried to organize the National Policy Institute Conference, which is essentially a conference for white supremacists.
The 39-year-old alt-right leader promotes the idea of creating “a white ethnostate on the continent of North America.” He also opposes same-sex marriage, which he describes as “unnatural” and a “non-issue” and that “very few gay men will find the idea of monogamy to their liking.” However, Spencer did bar anyone with anti-gay views from the National Policy Institute’s annual conference in 2015.
Spencer became viral after being punched by a masked man on the street following the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States. This punch quickly spread throughout the internet, igniting the “punch a Nazi” meme. Spencer supports Trump, and has said “Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory!”

Spencer led a torch-lit mob to protest the removal of the statue of Robert E. Lee in Charlottesville, Virginia, on May 13, 2017. He led crowds in chants of “You will not replace us” and “Blood and soil.” He was featured prominently on posters for August 2017’s Unite the Right rally, which ended in the death of anti-racist, counter-protester Heather Heyer after a car mowed through a crowd of counter-protesters.

On Thursday, October 19, 2017, Spencer conducted a speech at the University of Florida, which provoked a vocal protest from those in attendance. Prior to his speech, Florida’s Governor Rick Scott declared a “state of emergency” in Alachua County for fears of violent clashes and/or potential loss of life, such as the case of Charlottesville in August.
Despite his current support for U.S. President Donald Trump, he’s sided with a Democrat in a past presidential election. He claimed to have voted for Democratic candidate John Kerry in 2004. He reportedly voted for Kerry because Bush stood for “the war” in Iraq.
When it comes to women’s rights, he believes that the role of the adult female should revert back to the traditional role of child-bearing and home-making. He reportedly favors free access to abortion, as he believes it would limit the number of minority babies.
Spencer is one rich racist who has caused a ton of controversy.
