The superstars of SmacDown Live are prepping up for a very special 4th of July episode. The iconic John Cena is returning tonight for America’s birthday. Cena bleeds red, white and blue just as much as he represents hustle, loyalty and respect.
Rumor has it that Cena is next in line for a feud against “The Modern Day Maharaja” and current WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal. I wonder how Jinder will feel about a returning John Cena. The 16-time world champion is currently a free agent, so Jinder is probably hoping that Kurt Angle picks up Cena’s contact over on Monday Night Raw.
The other star attraction of the night lies upon the women’s division. Naomi is set to defend her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Lana for the third time. Last week, Lana’s left shoulder wasn’t down when the referee made the three count. “The Ravishing Russian” gets another chance at championship gold tonight. Can she topple the glowing champion? Or will Naomi once again snatch away the victory?
And oh yeah, who can forget ya girl Carmella? She’s that trash-talking, moon-walkin’, chick with an attitude who already has a dude (James Ellsworth). She’s also Ms. Money In The Bank, and she may just cash in that briefcase on the 4th of July. Time to break out those fireworks in Staten Island…
Plus, we have an Independence Day battle royal and the winner will become the new #1 contender for the United States Championship. Look below and find out how you can live stream tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live on your PC, TV, tablet or mobile device.
