After dropping Game 1 on their home ice, the St. Louis Blues were desperate to get even with the Nashville Predators. It certainly wasn’t easy, but the Blues were able to pick up a huge 3-2 comeback win to tie the series at 1-1.
The Predators have to be kicking themselves for letting Game 2 get away from them, as they couldn’t hold on to two separate one-goal leads. James Neal got the scoring started with roughly 12 minutes left in the first period, lighting the lamp to put the Preds up 1-0. But Vladimir Tarasenko would answer for the Blues, scoring a power play goal with just seconds left in the period.
After a scoreless second period, there were plenty of fireworks in the third. Nashville went ahead 2-1 on a Ryan Ellis goal just three minutes into the period, but St. Louis would not be deterred. Jori Lehtera tied the game with 12:21 left in the third period, and Tarasenko scored his second goal of the night with 3:51 left to go. The Predators were not able to recover, as the Blues held on to win 3-2
