After Bronson broke his leg, he moved onto a career in music. He always liked rapping as a hobby but focused on transforming that talent into a career while he was recovering from his leg injury.
Action dropped his first dope record Dr. Lecter in 2011. He quickly rose through the ranks of the underground all the way to mainstream hip-hop, as he was nominated for two BET Awards: Rookie of the Year (2013) and Best Mixtape for Blue Chips 2 (2014). Bronson was also featured on XXL Magazine’s 2013 Freshman Class of up-and-coming rappers.

In 2014, Action went back to making videos on his gourmet food-loving ways. In March of that year, he gave the world a taste of F*ck That’s Delicious for the first time via the web. Bronson later released his second studio album Mr. Wonderful on March 23rd, 2015. What more can a man ask for? In March 2016, F*ck That’s Delicious turned into a full-fledged TV show on Viceland. It’s the type of show that will make you quiver because the food looks so f*cking good.
As a rapper, Action has often been compared to Ghostface Killah for their similar sound and style. Bronson cites the Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Cam’ron, Nas, and UGK, and more, as major influences in his rap career.
How did Action Bronson come up with such a clever rap name? As a kid in Queens, Bronson’s tag name was Action. He’s always enjoyed the 1980s film series Death Wish, starring Charles Bronson (who is also his grandfather’s favorite actor). He combined the two and out came Action Bronson.
