Though there have been a handful of teasers and a few clever character introductions, we still have no idea what the third season of FX’s Fargo is about. Now that the network has dropped an official season three trailer…we still don’t know what the third season of Fargo is about. See for yourselves below.

This little cat and mouse game is exactly why showrunner Noah Hawley’s series is the best on TV. Audiences never know what to expect from this smart and stylistic anthology drama.
What we do know is that this season takes place in 2010, a few years after the events of season one. According to Warren Littlefield, Hawley – who also serves as showrunner for Legion – is “going to have a lot of fun commenting and embracing the world as it is, almost today.”
This vision of fun includes Ewan McGregor playing twin brothers Emmit “The Parking Lot King of Minnesota” Stussy and his brother Ray “The Ugly One” Stussy. Admittedly, that does sound and look pretty fun. Elsewhere, Fargo season three includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane) and Carrie Coon (The Leftovers), two fantastic actresses who look to be major players this year.
So, are we excited for the new season to premiere on April 19? To quote Fargo itself, you betcha.
