Mel Kiper was hired by ESPN as an NFL analyst in 1984. Specifically, Kiper focuses on the annual NFL Draft and has made his name as one of the most knowledgable college evaluators in the country. He is perhaps best known for his Big Boards, in which he ranks the top 25 college players heading into the draft, and for his mock drafts leading up to the big event.
His first ESPN NFL draft appearance reportedly earned him $400.
2005 – Present
