Security cameras on a North Hollywood street caught the moment a man grabbed the girl from behind and tried to drag her back towards a BMW.
The 18-year-old girl was walking to school along the 8100 block of Whitsett Avenue in North Hollywood around 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 20, when a man grabbed her from behind.
The video shows what detectives are calling a “dangerous predator” attempting to pull the young girl back to his car, however, she was able to fight him off and escape.
At this time, there is no current description of the kidnapper, however, the getaway car is described as a light blue, late model four-door BMW sedan.
Mike Oreb, whose security camera captured the incident, told NBC that he was at work at the time of the incident.
“The neighbors were texting me … telling me, ‘There’s a bunch of officers in front of your house right now,'” he said.
