Alpha Tau Omega History

Alpha Tau Omega was founded by Otis A. Glazebrook, Erskine Mayo Ross, and Alfred Marshall on September 11, 1865 at the Virginia Military Institute. It was the first fraternity to be formed after the Civil War, and ATO was created to help reunite the North and the South.
ATO’s headquarters are located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and their main fundraising efforts are for the Alpha Tau Omega Foundation. This foundation provides over $150,000 in annual scholarships to members.
