Jimmy Kimmel got the 2017 Oscars off to a great start with one of the funniest opening monologues in recent memory. Seriously, anyone who can roll a Trump joke AND an #OscarsSoWhite joke into one deserves major kudos. But as we predicted in our 2017 Oscars Drinking Game, Kimmel couldn’t resist poking fun at his arch rival Matt Damon.

As many fans of Jimmy Kimmel Live know, the sardonic host and the former Will Hunting have a long standing and hilarious frenemy relationship. Kimmel is constantly bumping Damon from the show and Damon is constantly seeking his affirmation. It’s a great bit and we’re glad it made it into the Oscars.
