The host surprised a bus load of people who thought they were on an L.A. celebrity tour by actually bringing them into the ceremony. Yeah, the Academy Awards ceremony. Now this bit could have been incredibly awkward and fallen flat, but thanks to Kimmel’s natural charm the gimmick was absolutely hilarious. Random normal people interacting with A-list celebrities? Pure gold. Denzel “officiating” a wedding? Love it.
