Gamma Phi Beta was founded way back in 1874 and has since flourished into one of the most accomplished and attractive sororities in the entire country. Ladies, start bidding.
Sorority: Gamma Phi Beta (ΓΦΒ)
Founded: November 11, 1874
Notable Alumni: Kristin Chenowith, Alexandra Flanagan
Yes, we can all tell that they’re absolutely gorgeous nationwide. But did you know the sorority has a long track record of philanthropy and community service?
In 1929, Gamma Phi Beta designated camping for girls as the official philanthropic endeavor of the organization. Since then, the sorority has supported groups such as Camp Fire and Girl Guides of Canada to promote the cause. Since 2001, the sorority has donated almost half a million dollars to Camp Fire USA and its local chapter. That’s time and money, folks, the two most precious commodities.
In 2012, Gamma Phi Beta adopted a new focus “to provide experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental and social resiliency in girls,” according to their homepage. To promote this ideal, the sorority partnered with Girls on the Run, a nonprofit organization that supports healthy and fun living for girls. We 100% support, endorse and condone healthy and fun living for girls.
So for those of you keeping score at home, Gamma Phi Betas are not only drop dead gorgeous, but they’re also kind and considerate and want to help others. That’s wifey material as we plunge into cuffing season.
(Also, they got Broadway legend Kristin Chenowith. Drop that factoid in front of a group of Gamma Phi Betas and you’re guaranteed to impress.)
You know what to do, gentlemen.
