Yesterday, Migos went on Ellen to perform their smash hit “Bad and Boujee.” In case you were still doubting the allure of this rap masterpiece, watch the Atlanta, Georgia rap trio work the crowd into a frenzy.
Seeing those soccer moms awkwardly dance their hearts out to a song about “cookin’ up dope with an Uzi” almost brought a tear to my eye. This is what we need more of in these turbulent times. Instead of letting our differences drive us apart, we need to come together as one. And there is no better way to do that than with the power of music. “Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo,” indeed.
This is just another example of why “Bad and Boujee” is going to sweep the 2018 Grammys. Countless memes, a number one spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and now, a triumphant performance on Ellen. It’s Migos world and we’re just living in it.
