Tito Ortiz, fresh off of choking the hell out of Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170, has weighed in on the seemingly never ending Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather fight. At this point, everyone needs to shut the hell up about it until something concrete happens because so far it’s been nothing but two egotistical athletes taking verbal shots at each other so they can see their name in the headlines.
Tito Ortiz says Conor McGregor would get his ass kicked by either guy in a boxing match.
The Huntington Beach Bad Boy was at ArcLight Hollywood for the “John Wick: Chapter 2” premiere when he told us straight-up… MMA fighters don’t stand a chance against boxers in a BOXING MATCH!
Tito says it’s like comparing checkers to chess.
Not necessarily a scorching hot take from Ortiz, I just figured that he would have his fellow MMA brother’s back. I’d still argue that even in boxing, McGregor would walk away with the victory. McGregor, 28, is in the prime of his fighting life, while Floyd is 40 years old. Striking is Conor McGregor’s strength, and while not quite the same as UFC, I’m confident he’d be able to land enough damaging shots on Mayweather to win the fight.
