Miami-Dade College’s North Campus has been evacuated due to a bomb threat. Officials said that the college evacuated buildings 1, 2, 4, and a pre-school lab as a precaution.
An alert went out Wednesday afternoon asking Miami-Dade College students and faculty to evacuate four buildings at its North Campus.
“If heading to these buildings, stay away,” the alert stated. “Additional instructions will be provided as needed.”
Footage from NBC showed people being evacuated from the campus on Northwest 27th Avenue. People are now currently standing outside and police are at the school. Police said there are not too many students on campus due to the timing of the incident.
No injuries have been reported thus far.
