An unidentified man was burned Tuesday night after he apparently set himself on fire in the street outside of the Washington D.C. Trump Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue.
A source, who spoke to the Washington Post on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly, said that arriving personnel found the 45-year-old man, who had been using a lighter and an accelerant, engulfed in flames.

According to the report, a construction worker in the area said he saw a man surrounded by flames and uttering the name of President-elect Trump in what appeared to be an angry manner.
The man shed some light on his motivation while speaking with NBC:
“I was trying to light myself on fire as an act of protest,” the man said. “Protesting the fact that we’ve elected someone who is completely incapable of respecting the Constitution of the United States.”
The man did not identify himself and police did not give his name.
At this point, it’s only a matter of time before someone voluntarily pulls a Braveheart on themselves.
