After today’s practice, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine threw down a spectacular dunk. LaVine’s teammate Andrew Wiggins posted a video of the dunk to his Snapchat and it’s a good thing that he did. Every man, woman, and child on the planet needs to see this incredible feat of athleticism.
In my best AND1 Mixtape announcer voice, “OHHH BABYYY!!!” Just an absolutely filthy dunk from LaVine. A 360 dunk from a step inside the free-throw line is practically witchcraft.
The 21-year-old won the Slam Dunk Contest in each of his first two years in the league, and it looks like he’s got a great chance to three-peat. Last year, LaVine became just the fourth player in NBA history to ever win back-to-back Slam Dunk Contests, and he might end up rewriting the record book as we know it by the time he hangs up his moon bounce shoes sneakers.
Let’s watch all of LaVine’s dunks from his previous two Slam Dunk Contest wins and start counting down the days till All-Star Weekend.
