The 2016 Premier League Season kicked off a month ago, playing three games and then taking last week off for an international break. Leicester City are the defending champions, with Burnley, Middlesbrough and Hull City being promoted from the Football League Championship. Rounding out the top four from last season, are Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City.
Liverpool, now under the management of former Borussia Dortmund boss Jürgen Klopp, finished in 8th last season, which ties for their worst finish in a decade. They opened the season with a 4-3 victory over Arsenal, but lost 2-0 to Burnley in their second game. In their third Premier League fixture, they tied Tottenham, 1-1. Liverpool currently sits in 11th with 4 points.
Leicester City, the defending Premier League champions, were also defeated in their opening match. Leicester City lost at home to Premier League newcomers Hull City, 2-1. In their second game of the season, they tied Arsenal to a 0-0 draw. In their third game, the defending champions picked up their first victory of the season, defeating Swansea City 2-1. Leicester City, who also has 4 points so far, currently sit in 9th place.
