After months of an insane training regimen to keep another man who wants to smash his face in from hurting him too bad, C.B. Dollaway surely didn’t expect to suffer his worst injury of the weekend because of a malfunctioning elevator. But that’s exactly what happened to the 33-year-old Michigander in Cleveland on Friday, and the back injury he suffered will keep him out of tonight’s UFC 203. It remains unclear how serious the injury is.
Dollaway was slated to face fellow middleweight Francimar Barroso in the octagon tonight.”I’m really upset,” Barroso said. “That sucks.”
The crazy part is that this wasn’t the first elevator accident involving UFC fighters of the day. Urijah Faber, Fabricio Werdum, Yancy Medeiros, Brad Tavares got stuck in another elevator for 10 minutes, though none suffered injures.
With these incidents plus the junior Kardashian sisters getting stuck in an elevator, I’ll be taking the stairs for a while.
