Brewster County Sheriff’s office tells CNN there’s an active shooter situation at Alpine High School. The school has been placed on lockdown, the school district said. The school is in Alpine, about 220 miles southeast of El Paso. They are reporting that one 1 person has been hit, and that 2 shooters on the loose. The one person who was shot has been transported to a nearby hospital. The condition of the victim in the Shooting is unknown at this time. This year’s classes began on August 22, and the district has nearly 1,000 students.

Authorities say a high school-aged shooter is dead of an apparent self-inflicted wound after another student was shot this morning in Brewster County, Texas.
Brewster County Sheriff Ronny Dodson confirmed the details to ABC News, saying an officer was also shot, but it appears that was accidental.
