Minnesota Timberwolves fans have to feel some confidence that their team is starting to turn things around especially after trading Kevin Love for Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett in the offseason. However, one fan obviously didn’t have any interest in going to the team’s opening night game on Thursday and taped their ticket to a telephone pole.
It is an odd way to get rid of a ticket and the folks at SB Nation weren’t able to verify that it was a true picture of a real ticket but from the looks of it, it appears real. The Timberwolves actually won the game 97-91 over the Detroit Pistons. Hopefully someone decided to grab the ticket and go to the game at the end of the day though.
Hopefully the next time this person gets a ticket to a NBA game, they will decide to just put it on StubHub or EBay or something and at least make a few dollars from it. They may never know what they missed especially if the Timberwolves suddenly are a good team this season. They are 1-0 after all and stranger things have happened.
