Costumed characters started brawling on Sunset Boulevard yesterday, and it was a cast to rival Avengers: Age of Ultron–and the video is almost as fun as the new Ultron trailer. First, the good news is that Chewbacca came along to break up the fight that began with a struggle between Mr Incredible and Batgirl. We don’t want to take sides here, but Batgirl is (in this case, presumably) a girl, so let’s say that Mr. Incredible is in the wrong for fighting with her after he gets scratched by her batnails.
That’s when Chewbacca steps up, with an assist from Freddy Krueger and Waldo of “Where’s Waldo?” fame. Things eventually calm down, but expect to see more of this. Your loyal COED staffers are already used to watching Elmos and Cookie Monsters get arrested in Times Square over all kinds of bad behavior–from groping gals to trying to shake down tourists for money. We’re thinking that alcohol might be involved.
Our correspondents in Los Angeles assure us that things are just as bad over there, too. Superheroes seem to be a bigger problem than Sesame Street characters, though. We guess the Sesame Street characters are more into protecting their own turf. Anyway, check out the epic brawling. You’ll have to sit through a commercial first, but it’s worth it…
