NASA Takes World Cup Into Space With German & USA Astronauts [VIDEO]

World Cup In Space NASA Video

The world is going to be pretty much obsessed with today’s World Cup match against USA and Germany–and NASA has decided that it’s not enough for that to end on the outreaches of our planet. That’s why we’re now marveling at the sight of German and American astronauts playing some non-regulation soccer in zero-gravity. It’s the kind of thing that reminds older people that we really are living in the 21st century, as astronauts are free to goof around in what was once a history-making endeavor.

This isn’t quite up there with zero-gravity Kate Upton, but it sure looks like a lot of fun. Still, we think it’d be even more fun if NASA posted some video of the post-game brawling that’ll take place after the game finished airing today. That’d be cool, right? It’s possible that astronauts might be a little too levelheaded for that kind of thing, but that’s kind of a shame…
