Game of Thrones has a history of having their “Big Battle” during the 8th or 9th episode of the season. In season one, while it was no battle, our BOY Lord Eddard Stark got his head waxed, and that was just as if not more intense than anything else that’s happened on the show. I still miss my boy Ned, and it’s been 6 years. That’s love. In season 2 it was the Battle of Blackwater, and then in season 3 was the Red Wedding. Season 4 had the Battle at the Wall (my favorite), and season 5 was Hardhome (my other favorite). Then, of course, this past season had the grandest one of all, The Battle of the Bastards (wait…this is my favorite too. sh*t.)
But GoT being the powerhouse it is, you know they’re gonna find a way to up the ante. And if these rumors hold even a shred of truth, the season 7 big battle is going to melt your f*cking face off.
Watchers on the Wall, via Spanish language site Los Siete Reinos, recently shared an open casting call in Spain — over 8,000 people showed up, but only 450 made the final cut, including “men [who] were asked if they were willing to shave [their] beard and head because they needed many Unsullied for scenes that will be shot in Barruecos.”
The Unsullied will also have some company. Los Siete Reinos reports that “it has also reached us… that [producers] are looking for many horses for these action scenes.” When there’s smoke, there’s fire, and when there are horses, there are the Dothraki, who are sailing to Westeros with Daenerys Targaryen’s Unsullied army and Varys, who prefers birds to equines.
And you know what that means: if the Unsullied are at a battle, that means our girllllll Daenerys will be nearby, and if our girl will be nearby, that means her pets will be nearby. And in case I have to remind you, her pets are goddamn dragons. People, this is what we’ve been waiting for.
