Game Of Thrones Season 7 Release Date Has Been Released, Makes Us Wonder If HBO Has Turned Into The Mad King

Not cool HBO. Not cool at all. First you drop the bomb that the penultimate season of Game Of Thrones will only be seven episodes, but now you’re making us wait over a year! Who the hell do you think you are?!
According to Entertainment Weekly:

HBO confirmed that Season 7 of the hit show will not return until summer 2017 – pushing back from the show’s usual strategy of premiering each edition of the series in the spring (typically April). Also, the network confirmed for the first time that next season will consist of seven episodes, as opposed to the standard 10.

I don’t know if HBO has a real life Zombie Mountain stashed somewhere, but they better, cause I’m ready to storm their castle in revolt.
Game Of Thrones broke HBO ratings records once again this season,  with episodes averaging more than 23 million viewers, including streaming, repeats and DVR playback  The show was nominated for 23 primetime Emmys this year, more than any of other series for the third straight year. Sooooo, HBO and the Thrones show runners think NOW (?!?) is a good time to start slowing things down. Bold, HBO, reallllllyyyy bold.
In an attempt to quell your pain, please check out this genuinely unbelievable hype video about Jon Snow. It will get all sorts of blood pumping.
