Week 5 of the 2016 Premier League season kicks off with an epic match between Liverpool and Chelsea!
Liverpool, now under the management of former Borussia Dortmund boss Jürgen Klopp, finished 8th last season, which ties for their worst finish in a decade. Chelsea is coming off of a disappointing 2015-16 season, finishing in 10th place. Their manager Jose Mourinho was fired in December of 2015 and was then hired as manager of Manchester United. Former Italian boss Antonio Conte is now managing Chelsea, who now sit in second place at 3-1-0. Liverpool is currently in 5th at 2-1-1.
The 2016–17 Premier League is the 25th season of the Premier League, the top English professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. The season began August 13, 2016, and will last until May 21, 2017. Leicester City are the defending champions, with Burnley, Middlesbrough, and Hull City being promoted from the Football League Championship. Rounding out the top four from last season, are Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City.
