THE COOLEST PLACE TO PARTY ON CAMPUS IS…

RIP to the Thirsty Turtle, but I’d have to say Bentleys, followed by mac and cheese pizza from slices after a night of heavy drinking.

THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…

A group of girl friends and I made a bet against our guy friends and did a series of the same dares on campus one night my sophomore year. We split into groups- guys and girls- whoever got to my apartment back with the dares completed first won. We had some crazy dares, and we had to take pictures or a video of each event after it happened as proof of completion. Some of the dares included: eating the hottest wings (fire) at Clucksters and singing our pizza order to our server. My dare was to propose to a random stranger with a ring pop. He said no, but quite frankly I was thrilled. As for the winners of the game? The girls won by a landslide. 😉

I MAJOR IN…

My undergrad degree was a B.S. in psychology. I’m currently working on my M.S. in speech language pathology. I either want to work with athletes with traumatic brain injuries or with politicians and actors and actresses with accent modification. It’s a great field and has great job prospects for those who are still unsure of what direction to go in with school. I chose speech therapy because I’ve always wanted to help people whether it’s physical or mental, and this incorporates both of those aspects.

OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…

Me speaking is my form of birth control; I have absolutely no filter.

AT SCHOOL, I’M INVOLVED IN…

Persian Club, ISF, Terp Thon, yoga. Cool fact about me: I got to compete in Miss D.C. USA this past December!

IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?

Such a difficult question; I’m quite a traveler. I’ve been to over eight countries including Iran, the country of both my parents origin. If I had to choose though, I’d have to say I’d pick Disney World over and over again. I currently work for a Disney company, Once Upon a Princess, as both Princess Jasmine and Pocahontas for birthday parties, and I do fundraisers and go to hospitals in MD/DC. I’d easily pick Disney time and time again; I’m a kid at heart.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?

Honestly, I know every girl says this, but I mean it when I say “I’m not like most girls.” My friends describe me as unique and interesting. My personality is out there. People constantly ask me if I’m from New Jersey or New York all the time because of my demeanor, even though I’m from Maryland. I’m honest and may seem unapproachable if you don’t know me, but I mean well deep down. I speak my mind and always help speak out for those who are scared to. I’m an Iranian-American, which I mentioned earlier. I want to get Iranian/Persian girls out there more in the media. We don’t get enough good attention unless you count the show “Shahs of Sunset,” which is not the best portrayal of Persians. I would love to be Miss COED 2016 because I think I represent something different, and my most important motto is that you should flaunt your uniqueness, because only those who are original get copied.
