Nakasia James, an 18-year-old woman of San Bernardino, CA, was arrested for murdering her 21-year-old boyfriend, confessing to the killing on Facebook. It’s not yet known if she also took the time to change her relationship status from “In A Relationship” to “It’s Complicated.”
According sources close to the investigation, Nakasia and her boyfriend Dorian Powell were involved in a domestic dispute that became violent. Police say she then stabbed Dorian and left. Dorian called the police around 2:30 AM, saying he had been stabbed by his girlfriend. He was pronounced dead on the scene when they arrived.
After leaving the house, Nakasia then posted these status updates to Facebook (which have since been deleted):
Just goin tell ya nw be4 I get caught, last night my ex was drunk off ej && was fightn me, hit mee in the face and we was really rightn and I gt the knife and stabbed him ddnt think I would hurt him BT I did he died and I’m on the run lookn for me. BT god knows I didn’t mean to stabb him I was mad AF he socked me in my eyes and just picked sumthin up. BTsorryy lord hopefully u forgive m! And sorry Dorian Powell rip
Police say that they acted on a tip and found Nakasia hiding in an apartment at North Hamilton in Hemet on Sunday. She was booked and is being held on bail for $1 million.
For what it’s worth, there’s certainly a chance that this young girl actually was acting in self-defense. But under no circumstances should you post any information regarding a killing that you yourself just committed, because anything and everything you say can be held against you in the court of law. I’m not a lawyer, but I did stay in a Holiday Express where I binge watched Making A Murderer.
