Anytime a Steve Spurrier-led team is involved, that team has a chance to make a championship run. The South Carolina Gamecocks will look to make that run this season in the SEC East. While Spurrier hasn’t been as successful as he has wanted lately, the Gamecocks may just have the formula this season to contend. A schedule that sends them to Georgia, Missouri and Texas A&M though may be their undoing however. They will host Clemson to end the season but that could be too little, too late to save their season or Spurrier, who would retire early in the year.
