Here's The First Photo From The "Star Wars: Episode VII" Set

The first photo from the set of Star Wars: Episode VII—tweeted by actor John Boyega–has confirmed that filming began today. What else does it confirm? That despite all the technology and special effects available to Lucasfilms and Disney (I don’t think I’ll ever feel comfortable seeing the two together) they’re still using clapboards.

Other than that, the photo doesn’t tell us much else but that hasn’t stopped filmmaker Joseph Kahn from hypothesizing that this is a set-up for a special effects scene.

But we’re expecting things to be very tight-lipped throughout all the filming, no matter how many Bothans spies are thrown at the matter.
