Bill Hader did a bewildering number of impressions and impersonations during his time on Saturday Night Live like The Situation from Jersey Shore, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and the late horror icon Vincent Price. It turns out he’s also been sitting on some awesome Star Wars impressions.
Last night, Hader made an appearance on Conan and treated host Conan O’Brien and his sidekick Andy Richter to some of his stellar Star Wars voices. However, he doesn’t do bits like Luke Skywalker getting his first physical or Han Solo singing karaoke show tunes. He doesn’t even do a Darth Vader doing anything. We’re sure he could but his funniest impressions aren’t even of any of the human characters in the movies. Instead, he does killer impressions of Jabba the Hutt being slowly strangled to death from Return of the Jedi and Han’s Tauntaun freezing to death from The Empire Strikes Back.

We’re sure that J.J. Abrams, the director of the next Star Wars movies, saw this and needs some people to do voices for the various computer animated creatures and aliens. He should hire Hader right now. If you compare both impressions to the actual scenes from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, they are actually pretty accurate. Not only would he get movie grade quality voice overs for his movies but Hader would be an inspiration to noise making, voice impersonating third graders everywhere whose teachers tell them to stop goofing around and find a more constructive use of their time.
