Jessica Jaymes, a popular adult film star, has passed away at age 43. According to a report from TMZ, Jaymes died on Tuesday, September 17 after being found unresponsive in her home in San Fernando Valley, California.
Jaymes was pronounced dead on the scene.
TMZ reports a friend went to check on Jaymes after not hearing from her for a while. She found Jaymes unconscious and called for medical assistance for a woman in cardiac arrest. Authorities found various prescription drugs on the scene and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office is investigating her death.
An official cause of death has not been reported.

Jessica was born Jessica Redding in Anchorage, Alaska. She attended New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico and later went on to Rio Salado Community College. Before getting into the adult film industry, Jessica was a teacher for students in grades four through six. Jessica’s mother is of Czech and French descent and her father was reportedly an undercover DEA agent.
The 43-year-old is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame and was Hustler’s first contract model.
Throughout her career, which began in 2005, Jessica appeared in over 200 adult films. Along with being inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame, she was named Hustler magazine’s “Honey of the Year” in the same year as her debut. She was also the Penthouse Pet of the Month in August 2008. In 2004, Jaymes won the Delta di Venere award for Best American starlet.
She has also appeared on The Howard Stern Show, VH1’s Celebrity Rehab Sober House, Showtime’s Weeds and HBO’s Vivid Valley.
