Claudia Ochoa Felix, a rumored assassin for El Chapo’s Sinaloa Cartel, was found dead over the weekend at age 35. According to a report from La Prensa, the Mexican national was found inside of a home in Culiacan, Mexico in what was believed to be her lover’s bed.
No official cause of death has been reported, but a potential drug overdose and pulmonary aspiration were mentioned as theories. The Sun adds that alcohol and other substances were in her system at the time of her mysterious death.
Ochoa-Felix has been given names like the “Kim Kardashian of organized crime” and “Empress of Antrax.”
The second of her nicknames comes from the rumors in Mexican newspapers that she led Los Antrax, which was an armed enforcement wing of El Chapo’s cartel. However, she has denied all of the allegations linking her to the Sinaloa Cartel. She has been romantically linked to Jose Rodrigo Arechiga in the past. Arechiga is known as “El Chino Antrax” and previously led the group before he was imprisoned.
Ochoa-Felix was also previously married to a Sinaloa Cartel drug trafficker who was nicknamed “El Chavo Felix”, having three children, according to the report.

Prior to her death, Ochoa-Felix was reportedly at a nightclub with an unidentified man. After the two slept late, the man was reportedly unable to wake her.
Police are investigating her death to see if there was any foul play involved in Ochoa-Felix’s passing.
