From WATE.com:
Covington failed to turn himself in after being sentenced in April to 46 months in federal prison on tax fraud. KPD spokesman Darrell DeBusk says Covington did not want to be taken into custody, which led to marshals firing shots at Covington. No one else was injured.
He drove off in a white Chevrolet Tahoe, which was found abandoned on Kim Watt Road. Police believe he may be on foot in the area of Millard Beets, Sunflower, Lonas and Middlebrook areas. Residents are being told to shelter in place.
This is a developing story. More information will be added as it becomes available.
