I’m not going to pretend to be a political expert.
And to be honest, I don’t want to. Politics are ugly, exhausting, confusing, and ultimately, pointless. I’m of the opinion that for every Trump, there will be a Regan. For every Hillary, there will be Bernie … and a Ted. And round and round we go. Water always finds it’s level type shit, you know?
But when it comes to Trump, our President, his actions are so outrageous, so embarrassing, so infuriating, so visceral, I just can’t help by express my opinion. I mean, how can I not? Our 70-year-old orange President tweets like a 17-year-old white girl (conveniently, they both go spray tanning). I truly wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t write about it.
Yesterday, Trump fired embattled FBI Director James Comey. Is Comey somewhat of a bumbling idiot? Based on what I’ve seen, heard, and read — yes. But at the same time, the dude is the DIRECTOR of the FBI, so he didn’t end up there by mistake. He also just so happens to be investigating Trump, his campaign, and Russia, so the optics of firing him now are certainly less than stellar.
Obviously, Trump took to Twitter to defend his actions. First, Donnie Freedom took specific aim at Chuck Schumer.

Everytime me and my boys get in a discussion over the merits of voting for Trump, I always try to say that I like the idea of Trump, but not the man himself. And this is the perfect example of that — firing Comey was probably the right decision (maybe not at this moment, but nonetheless), but the fact that Trump feels like he needs to hop on Twitter to parade, gloat, defend, and rant, is just pathetic.
And in case you’re counting at home, we still have about three and a half years left to go.
